The Recreational Recycling Community Center is an architectural response that arises from the lack of environmental public infrastructure in our city, which through its implementation promote sustainable activities in the community in favor of environmental awareness that is urgently needed regarding the uncontrolled generation of waste that we discard daily, whose immediate environmental impact affects the degradation of our ecosystems and consequently the extinction of species. The typological definition of the center is based on the symbiosis between a community center and a temporary storage center for municipal solid waste, this merger of infrastructures will promote better management, valorization and reuse of recyclable solid waste with a focus on the dissemination of the culture of recycling being a fundamental piece within the comprehensive system of municipal solid waste management, since the project is introduced in the circuit of the district recycling program, generating integration and joint participation among neighbors, recyclers and municipal authorities, in favor of caring for the environment. The project is implemented in a large residual area located within the Municipal Ecological Park of the district of San Martín de Porres, since the temporary storage of municipal waste in the district is currently located in this space, which is proposed to be redesigned and annexed to new community recreational recycling center, locating the project within the park seeks to accentuate its ecological character, in addition to complementing the lack of public, cultural and environmental facilities that the community demands.
