Culture is the nucleus for the development of a community. Through cultural manifestations, which are in constant change, the sense of belonging to the city is strengthened and, in this way, the members of society build a collective identity that is proper to the place where it is located. For this reason, cultural centers are very important facilities because they have adequate facilities for different artistic expressions. The Historical Center of Lima, formed by the districts of Cercado de Lima and Rímac, is the cradle of Hispanic culture in Peru. However, the Rimac, in spite of having innumerable important monuments in history and being part of the World Heritage of Humanity declared by UNESCO, is a district forgotten by its authorities, because it does not have the basic equipment that every district should have and, furthermore, because it is a district that, due to its historical character and because it represents a place of great cultural and tourist potential for the city, should have equipment that can be adapted to the constant changes in cultural expressions, which promotes the culture and the development of the community. For this reason, in the present thesis the project of a cultural center in the district of Rimac with architecturally adaptable facilities, which respond to the constant cultural changes and thus last in time, will be carried out.
