Currently, organizations are more concerned about the job satisfaction of their workers, however, it is still a factor that is not considered in first instance; for this reason, it is argued that it is essential to have leaders who have the appropiate characteristics to lead their collaborators adequately towards the achievement of objectives. In this sense, the purpose of this research is to determine the connection between the characteristics of the leader and the job satisfaction of the administrative staff of the 5 universities in the district of Santiago de Surco, during the year 2022. The research has a correlational design and a quantitative method. Respect to data collection, a Likert-type survey was carried out on 368 administrative collaborators of the selected universities. According to the results obtained, it was possible to affirm of the research the connection between the variables investigated is positive, certifying that the dimensions of the characteristics of the leader generate the collaborators can strengthen the bonds with their superiors, feel more motivated, focused on carrying out its activities in an innovative way, optimizing time and resources, and generating a satisfactory working environment.
