The COVID 19 outbreak had an economic impact in the whole world—our country was no exception. However, among tourism, entertainment and the restaurant sector, the latter was most damaged—not entirely reactivated yet—due to restrictions dictated by the Peruvian Government such as social isolation, the set of new protocols, and curfew have triggered a delay in the Lima Metropolitan Area restaurant chains resuming their activities in the new normal. In this process of reactivation, started at the last stage dictated by the Government, the restaurants have gone through several shifts and have been forced to implement several measures, protocols, and/or new process. Month by month, they have been restarted causing overcharges to the restaurants. In this research, we aim to study the impact of the change management on the process of purchase in restaurants located in Lima Metropolitan Area in 2020 during the COVID 19 outbreak. In that regard, our research has as main objective to analyze the influence brought by the impact of change management on the purchase process. Thus, we refer to trustful and renowned sources, surveys conducted to owners and employees of restaurants. At the methodological level, a quantitative study demonstrated with a correlational scope between our two variables (change management and purchase process), with a non-experimental design of a transactional nature, since data was analyzed and collected in a single moment (Report on outbreak in Peru by the end of 2020).
