Since a few years ago, in our country, passion fruit has become one of the most consumed exotic fruits in the world, being the Netherlands its main consumer, due to the agreement between both countries, was achieved to obtain excellent trade negotiations, helping the economy of the two countries. Also, according to the level of South America, Peru is the first exporter of passion fruit, exceeding 90% of its export in forms such as concentrated juices and frozen pulp (andina, 2021). This research work aims to determine whether the productive innovation applied by Peruvian exporting companies of exotic fruit: passion fruit is related to their export performance during the period 2014-2021, considering the following dimensions: Product innovation, process innovation and technology innovation, extracted from research papers and epistemological background, which are detailed in the operationalization matrix and research consistency matrix, the research approach to be employed is mixed, with descriptive-correlational design, since there are two study variables such as productive innovation and export performance. Further, the methodology used was quantitative technique through virtual surveys with likert scales to 26 exporting companies of Peruvian passion fruit and the results were analyzed in the software IBM SPSS statistics 28. Additionally, the qualitative technique was used with in-depth interviews with experts in the sector, public and private entities, with a total of 10 experts on the subject, all the information was collected and analyzed using the software atlas ti 9. Both techniques were able to validate each of the hypotheses of this research, similarly, it was identified that the dimensions: product innovation, process innovation and technology innovation are related to export performance. Results are detailed more precisely in the discussion of the results as well as in the project conclusions.
