University Social Responsibility (USR) has become more relevant in recent years, considering the importance and transcendence of university education in Peruvian society. Universities are training and academic institutions oriented to the generation of knowledge through research; also, to the integral, humanistic, scientific and technological training, which contributes to the development of the competencies of future professionals. Therefore, the objective of the research is to determine the influence of university social responsibility policies on the professional competencies of workers in private universities in Metropolitan Lima, 2021. For this purpose, the methodology used has a quantitative approach of non-experimental design and correlational-causal level. The findings in the results were approached by the analysis of quantitative data regarding the relationship of policies related to university management in the professional competencies of workers, obtaining a positive relationship in the association that exists between professional competencies and management policies addressed as those of educational, cognitive, and epistemological nature, social impact and organizational impact. It is concluded that the last specific objective, which is the policy related to university management and its environment, environmental impact policy, does not have a significant relationship with the professional competencies of workers in private universities in Metropolitan Lima.
