The purpose of this research work is to study the relationship between leadership styles and profitability in food marketing PYMEs within the modern channel, specifically convenience stores in the district of Miraflores – Metropolitan Lima in 2019. The following styles of leadership were researched: transformational, transactional and situational. Regarding profitability, we will analyze indicators such as ROI, ROA and Sales performance. Regarding the methodology, this study is correlational in scope with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The instrument used to measure each of the variables was a single questionnaire, which was applied to 200 workers from convenience stores located in the district of Miraflores using the Likert-type scale. Finally, the development and validation of the hypotheses is carried out using the reliability results of the Cronbach and Spearman correlation test, which allowed concluding that the general hypothesis is accepted, with a coefficient of 0.680, in addition to that, we decided to opt for the analysis of this topic because currently there are no diverse investigations that evaluate this type of variables jointly.
