La problemática social como estilo en la película Get Out

Abstract

El presente trabajo investiga la importancia de la problemática social en la película críticamente aclamada Get Out del director Jordan Peele. La investigación tiene como base el análisis profundo de un conjunto de escenas seleccionadas, en donde se presentan interacciones racializadas que exponen un estilo narrativo que depende profundamente del entendimiento de la problemática social presentada en la historia. Asimismo, se identifica características cinematográficas que tienen relación directa con la problemática y cómo es que esta afecta ese campo de la película.

This paper investigates the importance of social issues in director Jordan Peele's critically acclaimed film Get Out. The research is based on the deep analysis of a set of selected scenes where racialized interactions are presented that expose a narrative style that depends deeply on the understanding of the social problems presented in the story. Likewise, cinematographic characteristics that are directly related to the problem and how it affects that field of the film are identified.
