The present project seeks to avoid overexposure of users to ultraviolet radiation (UVR) to prevent future diseases and/or conditions through monitoring the index of ultraviolet radiation (IUV), on a constant basis, using a wearable. This system will have an application developed in Android and a wearable for a more personalized experience. The implementation of the solution will prevent the development of skin diseases due to UV radiation, since through the constant monitoring of the user it is possible to avoid overexposure. The user will be monitored through a wearable with a UV radiation sensor and a mobile application in which he must enter information about his skin color and the sun protection factor of his sunscreen (SPF). On the other hand, based on the data obtained, the system will determine the user's accumulated radiation in the time he is exposed, the maximum recommended UV radiation and the time he will reach it if he continues to be exposed. In addition, Cloud Computing will be used to process and store the data. The implementation of the solution will be oriented to provide a technological solution for future projects that address the topic of monitoring overexposure to high levels of UV radiation. For all the above mentioned, the final product has been defined as a functional solution that includes a wearable, a Cloud platform and a mobile application that will allow the validation of the proposed hypothesis. The project will be developed in the course called Project Workshop 1 and 2, during the 28 weeks that comprise the 2020-02 and 2021-01 academic cycles.
