The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between burnout syndrome and the motivation of 90 workers belonging to banking entities: BCP, BBVA, Interbank and Scotiabank, who have carried out their work activities during the COVID-19 pandemic under the modality of remote work in the districts of Surco and San Isidro. The method used was a cross-sectional study of the descriptive correlational-causal type, whose sample consisted of 41 men and 49 women. For this, the following instruments will be applied: the Steers and Braunstein motivation questionnaire, and the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire. Subsequently, using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, it was found that emotional exhaustion, personal accomplishment and variable motivation did not approach a normal distribution. Therefore, the correlational statistic obtained was Spearman's Rho test. On the contrary, for the depersonalization dimension of burnout, the Pearson consequence occurred, since it came from a normal distribution. In this way, it is concluded that there is an inverse relationship between the burnout dimension of emotional exhaustion and motivation and a direct relationship between the burnout dimension of personal fulfillment and motivation. In the case of the burnout dimension of depersonalization and motivation, it is concluded that there is no significant relationship between these variables. For this reason, it is determined that there is no significant relationship between burnout and motivation. Keywords: burnout; motivation; bank employees; remote work.
