Genetic information of patients is now considered an attribute of modern medicine. Technological development within the management of genetic information and its digitization allows doctors to make much faster decisions. However, many health organizations are characterized by being centralized systems causing these to be single points of failure and suffer attacks and data loss. In addition, these systems do not have a control and monitoring of the people who manage said information, causing third parties to manipulate the information without prior consent and the terms of privacy and confidentiality are violated. Similarly, the patient-clinic-laboratory relationship is not transparent, so genetic information can be managed for other purposes and those purposes could harm eligibility to a health center, obtaining insurance and jobs. Therefore, we propose a technological model that aims to manage the security of genetic information by guaranteeing its transparency through the use of Blockchain technology. This model allows data to be collected and shared in a secure and transparent way. The processes evaluated are the generation and distribution of genetic information, validation and retribution for the use of genetic information. As a result, it is sought that the model allows the delivery of protected and well-managed genetic information, the patient-clinic-laboratory relationship is organized and established and integrated and available tools for the management of genetic information.
