The following research aims to analyze the environmental graphics as a narrative support in Lima's art museums: Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MAC) and Museo Central (MUCEN) at present times. The hypothesis presented is to demonstrate that the environmental graphics of the museums under study contain visual codes associated with their graphic identities that function as a support for the narrative of each museum. The research was based on a qualitative study of several graphic pieces associated to the mentioned art museums delimited by visual identity criteria and how the story told by the museum is associated with them. Likewise, the results of the visual analysis were compared with the interviews conducted with experts in museology and museography. Finally, through the visit to the museums, vital information was obtained from the tour and application of the graphics. The main results indicate that the brand identity of the museums functions as the narrative axis of the story of each museum. Also, temporary exhibitions strive to create distinctive performances, each with its own identity. Likewise, environmental graphics appeal to the architecture of each museum, which usually bonds to the historical function that each space had in the past. Thus, it is concluded that environmental graphics in art museums can help build the narrative in the exhibition space, but this is not always the case due to the diverse needs of the exhibitions and the particular requests of the artists in temporary exhibitions.
