After a meticulous investigation, it is known that around the world there are more than 3 million children being mistreated and abandoned. It is an unfortunate reality, which Peru is not alien to, since there are thousands of cases of child violence, of which the majority are in Lima, thus recognizing Villa El Salvador as the most affected district. In addition to the increase in figures, there is a deficit of centers in charge of covering these cases and many of them are adapted places that do not meet the required specifications. For this reason, the typology of a Residential Shelter Center for Boys, Girls and Teenagers that houses minors in vulnerable situations and promotes their integral development for their family reintegration. In this way, the research document will analyze the definitions and operation of the typology, in addition to evaluating the specific place in which it will be located. Likewise, from the analysis of Referential Typology Projects, with the help of international and national sources, it was determined as an architectural emphasis Intermediate Spaces, which, defining its concept, will determine justifications that validate the existence of the emphasis in the project. In addition, the typology will be analyzed in an international, national and local context, considering different regulations for the execution and design of the project. Finally, a series of Referential Emphasis Projects will be analyzed in order to deepen the use of the principles of Intermediate Spaces in the architectural project.
