The coronavirus pandemic brought with it a huge wave of what researchers have called disinformation disorders around the world. The issue has generated concepts such as misinformation to refer to the erroneous information that circulates through digital media. Peru is one of the countries that have been most affected by this problem. Through the application of qualitative assessments, this paper aims to analyze the perceptions of fake news about vaccination among adults in Lima according to their media competence. For this purpose, three specific dimensions were taken into account: production and dissemination processes, interaction processes and ideology and values.
