The city of Lima is considered the city with the largest number of inhabitants in Peru, about 692 thousand inhabitants are transported daily for work, study, among others on Line 1 of the Lima train. Therefore, it is necessary for us to be able to annually evaluate the demand for passengers used by the only railway transport in operation in Lima, in order to project the influx of passengers in the transport system. The method chosen for this case is the entropy maximization model (MME). This is a less biased probabilistic forecasting model that can be attributed to a statistical system that, based on conditioning factors (time, distance, etc.) set the maximum degree of data disorder. The application of the model in the research gives us a projection to 2025, this forecast suggests a higher demand than that established today on Line 1 of the Lima Train, in certain stations, with a consequence of queues on the lower platforms of the system transport and outside their stations. This research is important because it gives you a vision for the future through important correlative data on the situation of the influx of passages in the transport system being analyzed, in this case Line 1 of the Lima train. So that corresponding authorities can make decisions for the correct operation of the means of transport and the quality of transport that users deserve.
