This research studies the visual discourse and its solidarity function in the graphic pieces of the NGOs Juguete Pendiente and TECHO Peru, with the general objective of analyzing the use of the visual discourse of solidarity in their graphic pieces, mainly digital. The research shows the state of construction of social design and its consolidation as a discipline with a focus on participation in social problems or causes. That is why the two mentioned NGOs were chosen as a sample, because they are aligned with the characteristics of the social approach to design. The type of research is non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive. The tools used for analysis were the observation sheet, interviews with five experts in the field of design in social aid organizations and surveys of the target public (young people and adults who have participated in or follow an NGO), although quantitative data was obtained from the results of the surveys, the qualitative approach predominates in the research. Thus, the use of graphic resources as an instrument for the construction of a persuasive discourse, in general, that encourages empathy and altruism in the public, is evident. It is concluded that the use of graphic elements, mainly color and photography, accompanied by textual content, guides the visual discourse of solidarity and specifically the pieces of the analyzed NGOs work to impact and motivate the empathy of the public, generating a reaction for social benefit.
