This investigation, related with an architectural settlement and with referential interests, aims to explain the importance of the application of an architectural exposition typology in a heritage significance environment, needed of revaluation from the population living in the surroundings of the architecture proposal. The characteristics of the mentioned typology were studied considering referential projects and theoretical texts related to the same one, apart from other similar studies on the project way of design, basing them on the Critical Regionalism emphasis. The latter takes its motivation from the theme of the project, dedicated to offer an expressive image of local memory in front of an historical heritage monument, which is the Aqueduct of the Villa Hacienda. According to the present document, it has come to the conclusion that establishing an interpretation center does not mean only to orient its public functions to historical themed exhibitions, but also offer diverse areas for enhancing the activity of the environment and that of its habitants. Therefore, qualities such as multifunctionality and spatial connection with public spaces are mechanisms for the enrichment of the project proposal this research is base for. These same aspects, along with the visual links with the mentioned aqueduct and natural elements such as vegetation, help to bring an active theme proposal, which pretends a revival of the agrarian memory of the place and from water brought from Rímac River in Lima.
