La construcción de la imagen de las víctimas de feminicidio a partir de estereotipos de género en los programas televisivos

Abstract

El siguiente trabajo de investigación busca analizar de qué manera se construye la imagen de las víctimas de feminicidio en los programas de televisión a partir de los estereotipos de género. Es muy importante el rol que cumplen los medios de comunicación en la difusión de las noticias relacionadas a la violencia de género ya que son los encargados de crear consciencia y educar a las personas con respecto a este problema social que con el tiempo sigue en aumento. Si bien se está luchando por un cambio en la sociedad para tratar de erradicar esta problemática, aún prevalecen aquellos estereotipos que impiden que exista un cambio con respecto a este tema. Sumado a ello, se puede identificar aún en los medios de comunicación aquel sesgo que imposibilita la igualdad entre ambos géneros al contar una noticia. Es por eso que este proyecto de investigación busca describir cómo se construye la imagen de las víctimas de feminicidio en los programas de televisión e identificar los roles de género que se les asigna a las mismas y también identificar cómo la otra parte, el agresor, es retratado en los reportajes televisivos.

The following research work seeks to analyze how the image of femicide victims is constructed in television programs based on gender stereotypes. The role played by the media in the dissemination of news related to gender violence is very important because they are responsible for raising awareness and educating people about this social problema that continues to increase over time. Although we are fighting for a change in society to try to eradicate this problem, there are still stereotypes that prevent a change in this issue. In addition to this, it is still possible to identify in the media that bias that prevents equality between both genders when reporting the news. That is why this research project seeks to describe how the image of the victims of femicide is constructed in television programs in order to identify the gender roles assigned to them and also to identify how the other part, the aggressor, is portrayed in television reports.
