The purpose of this study is to analyze how people use social networks, especially Twitter, to carry out social protests. In this sense, the objective of the research is to analyze the social network Twitter as a platform for denouncing and gathering citizens during socio-political conflicts. The study proposes an interpretive study that will include a qualitative methodology for the content analysis of a sample of 2 Hashtags: #Fujimorismonuncamás and #Terrorismonuncamás that were used on Twitter during and after the Peruvian presidential elections in 2021. Theoretical research reveals that the use of social networks promotes freedom, justice and equality. Likewise, the hashtag has become a digital phenomenon that drives activism and social struggle. However, other phenomena such as hate speech or fake news come to harm the development of digital social demonstrations, because the movement loses credibility due to misinformation and hate speech discourages the masses.
