In a pandemic context, it should not go unnoticed that the electricity sector has been constantly operating, providing quality service to all homes and industries in Peru. Likewise, the entity in charge of operating the electrical system must maintain a high reliability standard, therefore, optimizing the time in its processes is vital to maintain results in real time as well as in the post-operation period. Thus, the development of software projects in the organization is required by the collaborators to obtain faster results through the automation of processes. However, because of the number of projects, and due to the lack of planning structure for these, due to the changing regulations that arise in the sector and that directly affect operational processes, delays are generated in internal software projects. That is why the main purpose of this improvement model is to reduce the delays that occur in internal IT software projects, in order not to generate excessive cost overruns and improve productivity in activities related to this process. For the development of the model, the principles and tools proposed in the PMI (7th edition) will be considered as a basis, as well as agile strategies for the team, since agility and adaptability to change are concepts that organizations must consider feasible for the development of your projects.
