The study aims to analyze the impact of international trade costs on Peruvian fresh grape exports, giving a greater focus to the 6 main destination markets such as the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Canada and Korea. The study performs the analysis with static linear panel data on quarterly data covering bilateral fresh grape exports between Peru and its 6 main destination markets between 2006 and 2019. This paper adapts the theory of gravity to estimate the impact of costs of international trade in the value of exports of fresh Peruvian grapes in its 6 main importing markets. The empirical results derived from the linear static panel analysis (fixed effects model) indicate that international trade costs have a negative impact on Peruvian fresh grape exports. In addition, the Gross Domestic Product of both Peru and its six selected importing countries and the exchange rate (USD / Currency of the selected country) strengthened positively in exports of fresh grapes from Peru.
