Abstract: El objetivo de la presente investigación fue asociar el Síndrome de Burnout y el Compromiso Organizacional en trabajadores de una empresa hotelera de Lima y Cusco. Participaron 209 trabajadores (varones, 62.40% mujeres, 37.6%) de 19 y 63 años (M= 38.27; DE= 9.48). Se aplicó el Cuestionario de Compromiso Organizacional y el Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Service Survey. El diseño fue correlacional simple y comparativo. La realización personal se relacionó con el compromiso normativo y el compromiso afectivo; la despersonalización se asoció con el compromiso de continuidad y, el agotamiento emocional se vinculó con el compromiso afectivo y el compromiso de continuidad. Se demostró diferencias según el lugar de procedencia, pero no en cuanto a la edad y el sexo. La relación entre las dimensiones del síndrome de burnout y el compromiso organizacional son parciales y no concluyentes, se discute las implicancias del estudio.

The objective of the present investigation was to associate Burnout Syndrome and Organizational Commitment on workers of a hotel company in the tourism sector located in Lima and Cuzco. On the other hand, to find evidence if there’s differences between characteristics such as age and sex. 209 collaborators participated (men, 62.40% women 37.6%) between 19 and 63 years old (M= 38.27; SD= 9.48). The Meyer and Allen Organizational Commitment Questionnaire and the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Service Survey were applied. A correlational and comparative design was implemented. The relationship between the dimensions of burnout syndrome and organizational commitment was partial, finding that the dimension of personal fulfillment was associated with normative commitment and affective commitment. Likewise, the dimension of depersonalization was associated with continuity commitment. Moreover, emotional exhaustion was associated with affective commitment and continuity commitment. No differences were observed according to age and sex. However, there were differences according to their work location. The relationship between burnout syndrome and organizational commitment are partial and inconclusive, the study implications are discussed.
