Facing an efficient innovation management in a technology company is an increasingly arduous challenge, because due to globalization the world is changing faster and faster. Due to the marked administrative nature, this study aims to demonstrate the relationship between leadership styles and the innovation climate in the banking industry, specifically, Fintech companies. For this purpose, the methodology applied in this work consisted of a quantitative approach with correlational scope and non-experimental design, this data was collected through surveys of 114 workers of the five Fintech companies that won the StartUp Peru 2019 contest through questions adapted from instruments known as the MLQ (Measurement Leadership Questionnaire), an instrument that measures leadership styles and TSI (Team Selection Inventory), which measures the climate of innovation in companies. It was concluded that leadership styles and innovation climate show a moderate direct relationship with a correlation degree of 0.184, which means that the correlation is positive but weak; it was also concluded that transformational leadership predominates in the Fintech companies investigated and the task orientation dimension is the one that has a high correlation with leadership styles.
