The objective of this thesis is to design a SDN (Software Defined Network) focused on a LAN network for companies in the manufacturing sector, in order to improve the management and flexibility between the different network devices that make up the organization. Open standard resources will be explained, in which applications have been developed with OpenFlow controllers that adhere to any type of network infrastructure, seeking to generate greater efficiency and optimization of capacity in the services provided to users. The local SDN network will be able to monitor the information traffic based on the policies established by the IT administrator; additionally if it presents adequate levels of satisfaction in the initial tests of routing, monitoring and reduction of the number of packets generated in the server so that there is an uninterrupted information traffic. The network design proposal will be made using Mininet software for the creation of real virtual networks using the recommendations of the ONF, and manufacturers, the topology design will be defined, the selection of the SDN controller to be used, in the tests and results obtained for the simulation. The results obtained are used to compare the advantages of the SDN architecture over traditional networks and the conclusions and recommendations of the thesis project are presented.
