This thesis project is related to the design of a server virtualization platform to support services and applications in the Security area of a RETAIL; Likewise, this virtualization platform will be designed under the standards, recommendations of the good practices of each of the manufacturers that make up the solution. In the first place, an analysis of the problems of our security and video surveillance system services had to be carried out, to then evaluate the servers and services of the Security area; Likewise, the calculation began using the number of users, video cameras and services in the area, to size the hardware requirements and choose the server that can support the services of the Security area and the scalability of the video surveillance system. Secondly, the storage of video recordings was standardized in accordance with Directive No. 01-2020- JUS / DGTAIPD for the current and future video cameras of the video surveillance system, it supports all video recording without in case something happens. problem with the data of recordings; Speed measurements of the video compression formats and the benefits that the video surveillance system would provide if this compression format is applied. Finally, all the services of the security area are supported to avoid losses with the information and that may affect the Security area of RETAIL.
