Introduction: One of the solutions to reduce the breaches in Peruvian education is e-learning. Therefore, we must have tools that allow us to determine the level of digital competencies in students and verify whether they respond to the expectations and demands of the digital era. Objective: Determine the psychometric properties of the E-Learning Readiness Measurement Scale (EMPAE) in Peruvian university students. Methods: 219 universities (65.8% women) between the first and eleventh undergraduate cycle (50.2% from private universities) participated and their ages ranged from 17 to 27 years (M = 20.7, SD = 2.17). Results: An AFE was carried out to analyze the internal structure of the EMPAE, from which a five-factor solution was obtained (65.2% variance), as in the original version, but items 14 and 15 were eliminated because they did not exceed the value of .30. As for reliability, Omega coefficients between .41 and .92 were obtained. The self-regulation of learning instrument was used to determine the convergent and discriminant relationship with the EMPAE, obtaining higher positive and moderate relationships with the Autonomy factor (.29***; .37***; .40***; .15*). Conclusion: The EMPAE has adequate psychometric properties that support its use in the university population.
