The following research focuses on the study of the construction of visual identity and visual rhetoric in promotional campaigns of female KPOP and Latin American Pop bands in their social networks, specifically on Instagram. In order to corroborate the hypothesis that the visual identity and visual rhetoric posed in female youth bands in the Korean as well as in the Latin American field have a common denominator in the concept and values to represent the image of femininity. The following research is of qualitative analysis, so in the first instance a visual analysis was conducted to help identify the elements that contribute to the construction of the visual identity of both bands; as well as the graphic and compositional elements that work in relation to the visual rhetoric in the post promotions of How You Like That and Vámonos Antes in order to understand the message conveyed through these. On the other hand, an interview was conducted with a music producer that helped to understand the impact that these bands are having in the music industry and finally a survey was conducted with fans of both bands to know their perception regarding the visual identity and graphic content they observe in their social networks. We concluded that both bands have similarities when communicating their visual identity and rhetorical discourse that relies on graphic elements to communicate a musical release that deals with heartbreak and the idea of overcoming.
