By the year 2021, 49 Peruvian universities were denied the licensing granted by the Superintendence of Higher University Education (SUNEDU); a regulatory organization attached to the Ministry of Education of Peru. The service provided by these institutions was below the quality standards established by the state organization. This raises a question regarding the perceived service quality offered by the universities in the country and the urgency to analyze this variable in the education field. In this instance, the present research study aims to study and analyze perceived service quality as an independent variable inside of the Peruvian higher education system. Furthermore, this investigation seeks to deepen the study of the relation of this variable with two other related do educational marketing studies: brand image and student satisfaction. This research will be carried out as correlational study, working with a cross sectional quantitative approach. For this, the study will be worked with a questionnaire applied to a non-probabilistic sample of 400 undergraduate students from private universities in Lima. In addition, the results would be analyzed through correlations; while, the program to use would be IBM SPSS.
