Introduction: In young people, taking selfies and posting them on social networks is a behavior that has been recently identified. A scale to identify the characteristics regarding this behavior has been developed and validated in India, this is called Selfitis Behavior Scale (SBS). The objective of this study was to adapt this scale to Spanish in university students from a private university in Peru. Methodology: This is an adaptation study using a longitudinal analytical design scale in the year 2020. First, the translation and back translation were carried out. It was then subjected to expert judgment to assess its linguistic and semantic equivalence, as well as content validity using the Delphi method. Test-retest reliability was then measured through a pilot study on 31 college students with Google Forms® surveys using the Interclass Connections Coefficient (ICC). Results: The SBS scale was adapted to the Spanish language by 7 experts with an optimal content validity index per item (CVI-I) between 0.86-1.00. The content validity of the scale (IVC-E) was 0.94. Internal consistency resulted in a Cronbach's alpha of 0.90 and McDonald's Omega of 0.91. Conclusions: The Selfitis Behavior Scale (ECS) has been adapted to Spanish for university students in Peru.
