At present, organizations face a complex and changing environment, being forced to redefine both their external and internal strategies, so that they can improve the functioning of the members of their organization, many of the companies today turn to leadership as a strategy to achieve organizational commitment. The objective of this study was to determine the positive relationship that exists between leadership styles: transformational leadership, transactional leadership and laissez-faire leadership, and organizational commitment in medium and large companies in the textile sector in Gamarra for the period 2019 to 2020. This study has a quantitative approach, correlational scope and a non-experimental research design with a transverse base it is of the applied type. A survey was conduct with a 5-point Likert scale to collect information from the sample made up of 361 collaborators. It was found, from Spearman's Rho coefficient, that only the transformational and transactional style has a positive and significant relationship with organizational commitment. Transformational leadership being the one that presents the highest degree of positive relationship compared to laissez-faire leadership that does not present a positive relationship with the organizational commitment variable.
