Introduction: There is few information about whether the level of intelligence reduces the possibility of being bullying victim in children elementary school. Objectives: Determine the association between intelligence and being victim bullying in children of older cohort of Young Lives base, Peru. Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was carried out with 685 children. For which, its done a secondary analysis of larger Young Lives Peru 2002-2006 cohort. The exposure variable was evaluated by Raven's Progressive Colored Matrices test. For the multiple variables analysis we used Poisson Regression, where the crude and adjusted PR were calculated with 95% CI. The clusters of design were evaluated using the cluster option in STATA. Results: The median age was 12 years (IQR: 12; 12), 31.66% presented bullying. The male gender is more likely to be a victim bullying. The option none of parents' education level showed a higher risk of being a victim bullying (p <0.05). No association was found between bullying and other sociodemographic variables (p> 0.05). No association was identified between the level of intelligence and being a victim bullying. Conclusions: Intelligence is not associated with being a victim bullying at age 12 in older Young Lives cohort, Peru. In future studies, we recommended to use more detailed instruments with specific questionnaires for perpetrators or aggressors.
