This research is the result of the analysis of the narrative behind the costume design of The last bastion (2018-2019), the largest production of Peruvian TV and the first series of a Latin American state television on the Netflix worldwide platform. The case study has been limited to the 10 most emblematic scenes of the first and last episode (episode 1 and 35). The narrative analysis is approached from the morphological and conceptual aspects of the costume design in the series, in order to determine what tools are used to present the plot and the arc of the characters from the costume design. It also seeks to determine what creative licenses and limitations exist behind the period costume design in this Peruvian TV production, without affecting the narrative and intentions behind the artistic work. Finally, the document is expected to be a reference for exploring narrative possibilities in the costume design of upcoming Peruvian projects in the audiovisual sector, whether for film or television, as it is hoped that the creative process used in both is enriched to grow audiovisual as a country.
