On January 30, 2020, the WHO notified worldwide the risk of the outbreak of the new coronavirus under the framework of “public health emergency of international concern“ (PHEIC). As a consequence, the Peruvian Government decreed a mandatory quarantine from March 16, 2020 until June 26, 2020, affecting the economic activities of the private sector, the most affected being the service sector. One of the hardest hit service sub-sectors was the restaurant sector, which decreased by 99% in April 2020, causing bankruptcies and unemployment. The risk of contracting the disease and being fired affects workers, generating insecurities. The interest of this research is to identify and communicate the benefits of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the internal customer of restaurants in a COVID-19 context so that companies can make better decisions. For the development of the research, a literature review methodology was used with an integrative approach, which was obtained from various sources such as academic articles, papers and theses. Finally, it is concluded that applying CSR policies in restaurants help mitigate the negative impact of COVID 19 on workers.
