Aim: The aim of the study was to determine if there is an association between upper limb stability and shoulder disability in climbers in Lima. Methods: Observational cross-sectional-analytical pilot study. 42 climbers from the PIRQA, Base Camp Peru, Vertical and selected climbers from UPC were evaluated. Upper extremity stability was tested by the closed kinetic chain upper extremity stability test (CKCUEST) while shoulder disability was tested by the shoulder pain and disability index questionnaire (SPADI). Results: The mean number of touches in the category shoulder disability score equal to 0 was 20.86 ± 4.66 touches. While in the category, the shoulder disability score from 1 to 48 was 20.31 ± 3.42 touches. The correlation between shoulder disability and stability of the upper extremities showed a negative correlation coefficient (rho = - 0.065) and not significant (0.683). Conclusion: No association was found between the variables shoulder disability and average number of touches (P = 0.704). The correlation between shoulder disability and stability of the upper extremities showed a negative correlation coefficient. While the shoulder disability values go up, the upper limb stability values go down.
