Researches related to Minimum Guaranteed Return (MGR) are verified and compared, with the purpose of determining its effect on Pension Funds Administrators (PFA) behaviour. In this sense, the aim is to define to what extent MGR influences the profitability of pension funds managed by Peruvian PFA. In accordance with evidence, it is considered that the main effect of this regulation is manifested as the incompatibility between the interest terms shown by contributors and administrators related to pensions, so it is assumed that MGR shows a significant negative effect in the profitability of Peruvian PFA funds, in both absolute and relative terms, throughout the private pension system.
