The general objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between labor demands and resources and the welfare of full-time professors in three universities in Metropolitan Lima within the framework of the JD-R model. To this end, a quantitative research approach was applied, under a non-experimental design of a descriptive-correlational type, having a population of 4020 university professors, from three universities in Metropolitan Lima: Universidad Ricardo Palma, Universidad San Juan Bautista and Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola. In this sense, a non-probabilistic type of sampling was carried out at convenience, with a total of 180 professors, to whom an instrument structured via Google Forms and designed by Han et al. (2019) was applied, which measured the dimensions of the JD-R model, being validated by three experts and with a reliability of its dimensions of at least 0.70. The descriptive results show that 52.2% of the sample of university teachers who register a high level of work demands, also have a low level of labor resources and at the same time a low level of labor welfare. In effect, by means of Spearman's correlation test, a negative correlation was detected between the work demands of university professors and their labor welfare (rho = -0.562, p<0.05); likewise, a positive correlation was verified between the available labor resources and the level of labor welfare (rho = 0.613, p<0.05). Finally, there was a positive relationship between work demands and emotional exhaustion (rho = 0.513, p<0.05).
