This research work seeks to evaluate the comparative study between the traditional construction management system and the BIM Methodology in the design and execution stage for the work “Improvement of Health Services in the Ttio Health Center - Wanchaq District - Province of Cusco - Cusco Region”, the development of the research determined the influence of the 4D and 5D BIM Simulation in the construction process and its effect on the project execution times and costs. Public infrastructure projects are currently executed according to an outdated methodology that has proven to be ineffective according to international standards and growing technological development. In an ideal situation where the documents generated in the design stage are completely correct, presenting compatibility and detail; the execution of the project would be carried out efficiently, in the time and with the expected cost, this does not happen. With the BIM methodology through three-dimensional representations (3D BIM Modeling), it allows managing the information within the model. In addition to simulating the construction process over time (4D Simulation), having a better control of physical progress. It is also important to carry out the quantification of resources in terms of costs (Simulation 5D), this verified with the progress valued. With the application of this methodology in the work, positive results were obtained, reducing times and costs, improving the work flow between the different specialties of the project and handling of precise information, thus demonstrating that it is a fundamental tool in the execution of works, however, it can be used in the early stages to improve quality in construction projects.
