Although it is true that there is a need for translators and interpreters in the Peruvian mining field, it is also important to mention that the necessary tools for these professionals are not available. In general, translators have several resources on hand, such as terminological glossaries. In the Peruvian mining field, there is a significant lack of these bilingual glossaries, since there are only monolingual ones, or they are not spread by the translators who possess them. For this reason, this study proposes to elaborate the first bilingual English-Spanish terminological glossary of the drilling process in open-pit mining available to both translators and professionals of this field. In this way, translators working in this specialized field will have this tool as support for their work performance. To develop this study, three steps are proposed: the creation of a bilingual comparable corpus, the identifications of terminological units and the validation of these units. In the first step, a number of specialized texts from the mining field will be collected and validated according to certain criteria to create a bilingual corpus. Then, all the terminological units that will be included in the glossary will be identified, and finally, the equivalents will be selected and validated thanks to resources such as expert consultation and the use of terminological dictionaries.
