In the first chapter, the theoretical framework is developed, which details the definitions, research background and theoretical bases related to the trade promotion instruments. In the second chapter, the research plan is included, which defines the problem situation, the research questions, research objectives and hypotheses. In the third chapter, we proceed to define the work methodology, which details the focus and design of the research, sampling process and instruments. In the fourth chapter, the mixed methods are performed. In the qualitative phase, the results obtained from interviews with experts and companies of the apparel industry are analyzed and presented. Regarding the quantitative phase, the causality model used is explained. In the fifth chapter, the results obtained are executed and analyzed. For this research, the effect of PROMPERÚ’s trade promotion instruments on the export performance of SME’s of the Lima apparel industry is validated. Finally, based on the objectives and hypotheses raised, we suggest recommendations, based on the results, to the study population, PROMPERÚ and the academic community for future research of greater quantitative scope.
