The present investigation exposes the academic arguments, which sustain the relationship between the different cultural aspects in the realization of social events from different cultural groups, which are supplied by the hospitality industry. Bibliographic review, including an evaluative analysis, was used as research methodology; starting from the review of scientific articles, books, theses, and technical publications available in academic databases, focusing on those published within the last five years. There was an extensive bibliography identified, mainly from North America and Europe, focused in the social-psychological sphere. Studies have been identified to address the cross-cultural effect in different areas of study such as anthropology, psychology, and business, however, no specific research has been found on the cultural aspects of conducting events within the hotel industry. The different elements of culture, the types of events demanded by each cultural group, and the relationship of these with the organization of social events were analyzed in this investigation. Finally, in order to obtain personal experience about implementing the cultural aspects in the hospitality industry, an in-depth interview was held to an expert in the events field, which allowed the identification that the industry is indeed prepared to attend these needs when it comes to resources, but lacks the staff’s knowledge and preparation. The contribution of the latter allowed the identification of how prepared the hotel sector is, in order to be able to recognize the requirements of the different cultural groups who wish their beliefs to be incorporated in the realization of social events that are being demanded.
