This research seeks to identify and analyze the barriers in the internationalization process of Peruvian startups that won the Innóvate Peru contests from the 1st to the 7th generation in 2019. From the launch of StartUp Peru on December 29, 2013 till this date, the State has cofinanced 502 startups, which has implied a total investment of S /. 85.3 million, generating 3000 jobs and sales for S /. 175 million. However, despite government support, only 1 in 10 enterprises have managed to carry out their internationalization process, according to Miñán (2019), which gives rise to understand that it is not only a financing issue, but there are other reasons that will be developed in the study. The theoretical framework and the related theory are established in the first chapter, while in the second chapter, the research plan was developed establishing the problematic situation, hypotheses to be validated, objectives and justifications of the study. The third chapter focused on the research methodology and for which a qualitative approach was taken with exploratory - descriptive scope, grounded theory design was used, and 15 startups were interviewed. In the fourth chapter, the hypotheses raised were analyzed and validated based on the results of the interviews and the research presented in ATLAS.ti 8. Finally, in the fifth chapter, the recommendations and conclusions of the work were presented where it was possible to validate the variables.
