The purpose of the present investigation focused on determining to what extent the four dimensions corresponding to business management, carried out by small businessmen manufacturing garments in the Gamarra Commercial Emporium, influenced the competitiveness of these companies. For which, a cross-sectional study of mixed approach was applied, using the survey that had as an instrument a questionnaire designed based on similar investigations of other authors, in which we sought to know relevant information about the four dimensions of business management: planning, organization, direction and control, applied in these small companies with respect to competitiveness. The population taken into account for the study was 210 small garment manufacturing companies in the Gamarra Commercial Emporium, a figure taken from the INEI Bulletin (2017) about Gamarra companies. The sample was calculated with the formula corresponding to finite populations, resulting in a total of 137 small businesses to which the instrument was applied randomly. The level of research is identified as correlational which implies the need for the use of statistical techniques such as Spearman's inferential analysis, factorial technique and discriminant analysis, which allowed identifying the corresponding correlation between each of the management dimensions business and also highlight the most influential dimension in competitiveness according to the reality of these companies.
