The purpose of this research is to present the academic arguments that support the importance of organizational culture as a key factor in the hotel sector, based on the review of previous and current research. There is a significant number of articles or publications related to the organizational culture in the hotel sector that believes that this factor directly influences the good performance of these companies. Most of the research studies the association between variables through dichotomous analyzes that link the organizational culture with another variable, establishing its effect on the development of hotel business management and the implementation of various tools such as those used to measure customer satisfaction. From this, the components, factors, dimensions, the evaluation of the organizational culture and its effect on the management of hotels worldwide will be analyzed. This is a bibliographic investigation with a descriptive and evaluative analysis by reviewing academic documentary sources and interviewing an expert. It is found that the study of organizational culture has become more important in the hotel sector over time due to the current dynamic environment and therefore, tools have been developed to evaluate it and give it timely follow-up in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. It is concluded that, through all the sources reviewed, the concern of the companies to form a solid organizational culture is greater when verifying the influence of this in the management tools within the strategic management.
