Objetive: To demonstrate that dyslipidemia is a risk factor for cervical cancer in patients of the Hospital Belén de Trujillo. Material and Methods. A retrospective, analytical and case - control study was carried out in which 294 adult patients were included, according to selection criteria, which were divided into 2 grops: patients with cervical cancer and without cancer. cervix; applying the odds ratio,and the chi - square statistical test. Results: The degree of parity and the frequency of obesity were significantly higher in the group of patients with cervical cancer was 29% the frequency of dyslipidemia in patients without cervical cancer was 13% dyslipidemia is a risk factor for cervical cancer with and odds ratio of 2.61, which was significant ( p 0.05) In the maultivariate analysis the variables dyslipidemia, pariry and obesity are risk factors for cervical cancer ( p 0.05)
