Abstract: Determinar la percepción sobre la pandemia de
COVID-19 en Cirujanos Dentistas del distrito de Trujillo –
2020.
.
Material y método: El presente estudio prospectivo,
transversal y descriptivo se realizó con una muestra total de
150 de Cirujanos Dentistas de la localidad de Trujillo, en
sujetos de 21 a 70 años de edad. Se obtuvo los resultados a
partir de un cuestionario virtual elaborado en Google Forms.
Para los mismos, se empleó estadística descriptiva y tablas de
distribución de frecuencias uni y bidimensionales con valores
absolutos y relativos.
Resultados: Se encontraron 8 cirujanos dentistas que
resultaron positivos a Covid 19. El 58% limitó sus actividades
de atención a sólo emergencias y un 35,3% limito sus
actividades completamente durante la pandemia. Un 56,7% de
los encuestados consideran al virus Covid-19 peligroso. El
32% no tiene confianza para tratar un caso sospechoso de
Covid-19 y más del 50% se encuentran preocupados por las
pérdidas de ingresos en sus respectivos consultorios.
- Conclusiones: Un 89.7% considera al Covid-19 como un
virus peligroso para la salud, el 55.3% de los cirujanos
dentistas de la ciudad de Trujillo tiene confianza para tratar un
caso sospechoso de Covid-19, un 64.7 de los cirujanos
dentistas encuestados se encuentran preocupados por volver
a trabajar y correr el riesgo de contagiarse y un 80% de los
cirujanos dentistas de la ciudad de Trujillo, se encuentran
preocupados por la pérdida de ingresos económicos en sus
respectivos consultorios.

Material and method: This prospective, cross-sectional and descriptive study was carried out with a total sample of 163 Dental Surgeons from the town of Trujillo, in subjects between 21 and 70 years of age. The results were obtained from a virtual questionnaire elaborated in Google Forms. For them, descriptive statistics and one-dimensional and two-dimensional frequency distribution tables with absolute and relative values were used. Results: Eight dental surgeons were found to test positive for Covid 19. 58% limited their care activities to only emergencies and 35.3% limited their activities completely during the pandemic. 56.7% of those surveyed consider the Covid-19 virus dangerous. 32% do not have confidence to treat a suspected case of Covid-19 and more than 50% are concerned about the loss of income in their respective offices.
