To determine the level of knowledge of the new biosafety protocols for dental surgeon published by the Dental College of Peru in the context of COVID-19. Trujillo-2021. Material and Method: The present cross-sectional and descriptive study was made up of 128 dentists registered in Trujillo who met the inclusion criteria. A virtual questionnaire was used by Google forms with 20 questions and closed answers previously validated by 8 experts and reliability of the instrument by the Kuder Richardson coefficient, considering a good level of 15 to 20 points, a regular level of 8 to 14 points and a poor level of 0 to 7 points. Unidimensional and bidimensional frequency distribution tables were used. The Chi-square test of independence of criteria was used, with a significance level of 5%. Results: The level of knowledge of the dentists was good with a percentage of 60.2%; according to the sector of work, the highest percentage was found in dentists working in the public sector with 79.4%. Meanwhile, according to the length of professional practice, the highest percentage was presented by dentists with >10 years of professional practice with 84%. The Chi-square test indicates that the sector of work and time of professional practice influence the level of knowledge. Conclusions: The majority of dentists registered in Trujillo had a good level of knowledge.
