Objective: to determine the prevalence and risk factors of preeclampsia in pregnant adolescents from 2016 to 2018 of the Support Hospital II - 2 of Sullana Methodology: descriptive, observational, analytical, retrospective, transversal, and correlational. The information was calculated using the formula for the expected populations of the Epi Info program, with a total of 2417 clinical records, leaving the sample of 515 clinical records of pregnant adolescents. For the analysis, a database was used in the Excel 2010 program and then transferred to the STATA Results: the prevalence of preeclampsia at the Hospital de Apoyo II in Sullana for the 2016-2016 period was 10.9%. The average age of the studied population was 17.81 years (SD: 0.56). Similarly, 85.05% of patients cohabited and 53.79% of Sullana, 74.37% of the population had a full-term pregnancy. The predominant type of participation was cesarean section at 62.91%. Age younger than 16 years is most frequently associated with preeclampsia (p <0.01). Prematurity, cesarean delivery and being primiparous were associated with preeclampsia (p = 0.002, p <0.001 and p <0.001, respectively). Likewise, having less than 4 prenatal controls is associated with preeclampsia in adolescents (p <0.001). Conclusion: the prevalence of preeclampsia in pregnant adolescents was 10.9%, the age associated with preeclampsia was less than 16 years; Prematurity, being primitive and having less than 4 controls are risk factors associated with preeclampsia.
