The purpose of the present investigation is to stabilize the soil and improve the physical and mechanical properties of the natural soil in the granular sub-base of the road that is established in the upper town of Trujillo, in the district of El Porvenir, in order to verify the behavior of the Granular Sub-base adding portland type I cement plus hydrated lime. It will begin with the investigation of the regulations and their current technical specifications and in this way the study of the Granular Subbase will be developed, through field trials and In the laboratory, the quantities of portland cement type I and hydrated lime will be determined by performing tests with different proportions of the mixture by means of scores, then the CBR test was carried out in order to determine the sinking resistance and likewise we made the Modified Proctor test in order to know the degree of moisture density of natural soil and soil with addition of Cement portland type I plus hydrated lime, based on the road design manual, Peruvian technical standards, general technical specifications for construction. Later, a comparison of the results of the different modified CBR and Proctor was made (Natural soil and soil with addition portland type I cement plus hydrated lime) and thus the optimal quantities of portland type I cement and hydrated lime could be determined, then a comparative analysis was carried out according to the obtained results. Thus we can know how is its behavior of the Granular Subbase with the addition of portland cement type I plus hydrated lime and be able to know as soon as it was improved in affirmed ways. With this stabilization we propose the use of type I portland cement plus hydrated lime to increase the percentage of CBR in the soil, encouraging the use of a economic alternative to employ; as well as a guide to future stabilization research
