Objective: To determine the knowledge about the impact of carbonated beverages on dental surfaces, in medical students of the Antenor Orrego Private University. Material and Method: The cross-sectional, descriptive, prospective and observational study included 213 students of the V and VII cycle of human medicine of the Antenor Orrego Private University of Trujillo and Piura, enrolled in the 2020-20 semester, a questionnaire of 10 questions was used, subjected to expert judgment, obtaining an Aiken's V value of (0.894) and with a reliability evaluated by means of a pilot study obtaining a Cronbach's Alpha (0.788). Results: It was found that 60.09% of medical students have a fair level of knowledge, while 20.66% a good level and 19.25% a bad level. According to sex, the level of knowledge was regular both in women with 52.50% and in men with 69.89% and according to age, it was predominantly regular in all age ranges. Conclusion: The level of knowledge about the impact of carbonated beverages on medical students at the Antenor Orrego Private University, Trujillo. 2020 was predominantly regular; according to sex and age.
