This research aimed to develop a hydrodynamic model for the prediction of riverine floods under climate projections in the city of Ambo. It began with a hydrological study where a semi-distributed SWAT model was developed. Cartographic inputs such as vegetation cover provided by MINAM and soil type, a global soil dataset from FAO, were used. This allowed the delineation of Hydrological Units for an effective representation of hydrological cycle components. Subsequently, streamflow was represented using values from hydrometric stations, achieving a satisfactory performance exceeding a Nash index of 0.60. Then, projections from global climate models were incorporated, selecting those with the best correlation to historical data. As a result, increases in water levels and flow velocities were observed based on these projections. These findings provide valuable insights for understanding and mitigating future flood risks in the city of Ambo
